He robbed a jewelry store and shot himself while fleeing
In Adana, a person wearing a helmet entered a jewelry store with a pistol and took a bag of gold and fled. The moments of the robbery were captured by the security camera for seconds and it was revealed that the suspect shot himself while fleeing. The robber and two people who allegedly helped him were arrested.
In a jewelry store robbery in Çukurova district of Adana, B.K. (16) allegedly borrowed the motorcycle of his friend C.D. (22). B.K. and Tarık Can S. (32) decided to rob a jewelry store together. Two helmeted suspects arrived in front of the jewelry store. Tarık Can S. got off the motorcycle and entered the jewelry store. Then Tarık Can S. pointed the pistol at the jeweler Serbay Y. (37), handed him a bag and threatened the owner by saying “Fill the bag, otherwise I will kill him”. After the owner put some gold in the bag, the suspect fled.
ROBBED A JEWELRY STORE AND SHOT HIMSELF WITH A PISTOL WHILE FLEEING
Tarık Can S., who robbed the jewelry store, accidentally shot himself in the foot with the pistol he used in the incident when he went to B.K. who was waiting for him on a motorcycle. Despite this, the suspect got on the motorcycle and disappeared. It is learned that Tarık Can S. was treated by his own means instead of going to the hospital to avoid being caught.
THEY WERE CAUGHT IN THEIR HIDING PLACE
Upon the notification, the Extortion Bureau teams of the Public Security Branch Directorate were dispatched to the area. The extortion police officers who arrived at the scene started to examine the security camera of the workplace. It was determined that the suspects arrived on a motorcycle and approximately 500 cameras were examined. From the cameras, the place where the suspects fled on the motorcycle was also determined. While the suspects were caught in their hiding place with the operation, 3 bracelets, 3 necklaces, 3 bracelets and 1 wedding ring stolen in the incident were seized.
COURT ISSUED AN ARREST WARRANT
B.K., who was driving the motorcycle, Tarık Can S., who committed the robbery, and C.D., the owner of the motorcycle, were referred to the courthouse after their statements at the police station. While C.D., the owner of the motorcycle, was released on judicial control condition to be tried without arrest, Tarık Can S. and B.K. were arrested by the court.
