HarmonyOS 4 surprise for two popular models from Huawei!

The good news of HarmonyOS 4 was given for Huawei P30 and Mate 20 models. Let us remind you that update support for these two models has ended.

Huawei announced that it will surprisingly provide HarmonyOS 4 to its old flagship smartphone models. According to the statement from the Chinese company, the Huawei P30 and Mate 20 series, which were introduced about four years ago, will soon receive the HarmonyOS 4 update.

HarmonyOS 4 is coming for Huawei P30 and Mate 20

The technology giant announced that the P30 and Mate 20 models in the Chinese market will start receiving the new HarmonyOS version in the first quarter of 2024. Both series were not actually included in Huawei’s previously announced upgrade program. However, the company chose to surprise its users in this regard.

While the P30 model was released in 2019, the Mate 20 took its place on the shelves in 2018. Considering that there are Mate 50 and P60 models today, both series are a few generations behind in the smartphone cycle.

HarmonyOS 4 brings many new features and improvements compared to the previous version. It uses advanced Ark Engine for faster performance. Other notable upgrades include customizable lock screens, expanded widget support, a “Live Window” feature similar to Dynamic Island.HarmonyOS 4.0 has been around for a while now and has been widely adopted by users. The Chinese company recently announced that the new version was installed on 10 million devices in just one month. As you may remember, the company previously announced that the new structure was installed on 5 million devices within the first two weeks after it was launched.
