Harmless Snakes Of Yüksekova Start To Emerge
The appearance of snakes in the 'Snake Spring' region between Yürekli and Karabağ villages of Hakkari's Yüksekova district does not resemble Brazil's Snake Island.
The snakes that appear in swarms as they do every year in May both frighten and surprise.
The snakes, which are seen in swarms along the road in the area between Yürekli and Karabağ villages, resemble Brazil’s Snake Island.
Stating that the snakes, which are known to be non-venomous, appear in flocks every year, a citizen named Hakan Zanyar Aykut said, “We are in the Snake Spring in Yürekli village of Ysekova. These harmless snakes appear every year in late April and early May. This place is also similar to Brazil’s Snake Island. These harmless snakes come out especially around 13.00 and 14.00 and sunbathe. When there are no people, they come both on the stones and on the road. We came here again to see them like every year.”
