Rockstar Games’ parent company Take-Two Interactive has shared ambitious forecasts for the coming year, further fuelling anticipation for the release of GTA 6.
During its earnings call for the first quarter of 2024 on 8 August, Take-Two reiterated that the next Grand Theft Auto game continues to be in development.
GTA 6 Could Be Coming in 2024
While an official announcement for GTA 6 has yet to be made, industry rumours suggest that Rockstar Games is aiming for a 2024 release, in line with Take-Two’s forward-looking projections.
The earnings call reveals strong forecasts for both 2024 and 2025, with Take-Two suggesting that they are planning for the most robust period in terms of fiscal revenue in company history.
Last year, leaked gameplay footage revealed the first details for GTA 6, confirming a return to Vice City, the introduction of a female protagonist, and numerous gameplay improvements building on GTA 5.
