Google Pixel Watch 2 To Be Introduced Next Week

Entering the smart watch market with the Pixel Watch introduced last year, Google may soon introduce Pixel Watch 2. Allegations show that the device will be available with Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro.

Solving the problems with the Wear OS operating system with WearOS 3, Google succeeded in increasing the power of the Android side in the smart watch market. The company, which also entered the smart watch market with the Pixel Watch running on the operating system it developed, seems to be largely satisfied with the device. According to a report from 9to5Google, the Pixel Watch 2 will be unveiled next week.

It will be on sale with the Pixel 8 Series

According to the news of 9to5Google, Google will introduce the second generation Pixel Watch at the I/O Developer Event to be held next week, and the device will go on sale with the Pixel 8 series in autumn. According to the report, the name of the device has not been decided, but Pixel Watch 2 seems very likely.

Although it is not yet known what the new generation Pixel Watch will offer, the Exynos 9110 and 1GB RAM used in the previous generation are expected to be abandoned. Offering a battery life that can be considered successful with software optimizations, Google will offer a much more successful battery life if it switches to the Exynos W920 developed in the 5nm process or the Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 chipset developed in the 4nm process. The device, which is not expected to offer serious innovations on the WearOS side, will likely have a similar design, but hopefully Google will make the bezels of the device thinner than the previous generation. In terms of health monitoring, it seems possible that the device has a temperature sensor.
