Google Makes a Critical Decision for Websites Producing Deepfake Videos with Sexual Content!

Google has made a new decision for websites and apps that produce deepfake videos with sexual content. It updated its Inappropriate Content Policy. Here are the details!

Google has taken an important step in its work on deepfake videos. It updated its Inappropriate Content Policy by adding new clauses.

The updated policy now completely prohibits advertisers from promoting sites and services with pornographic deepfake videos.

Google Takes An Important Step For Deepfake Videos

In fact, Google already had restrictions on featured ads for certain sexually explicit sites. But with the new update, it will now refuse to promote “synthetic content that has been altered or created to be sexually explicit or contain nudity” as a complete violation of the rules.

According to Google’s Inappropriate Content Policy, all sites and apps that produce deepfake porn, as well as those that describe and promote how these videos are created, will now be directly suspended without warning.

This means that inauthentic, completely fake videos will no longer appear as ads on Google. Effective May 30th, this will make the internet safer and more reliable for many people.
