In Group A, Thomas Tuchel’s team, German representative Bayern Munich and our representative Galatasaray under the management of Okan Buruk faced each other at Alianz Arena with Portuguese referee Antonio Emanuel Carvalho Nobre blowing the whistle.
The match ended with a 2-1 victory for Bayern Munich.
Goal Disallowed
A goal scored by Galatasaray in the 62nd minute through Lucas Torreira was disallowed for offside after a VAR review.
In the last minutes of the first half, Mauro Icardi, Wilfired Zaha and Hakim Ziyech gave Bayern Munich a very difficult time but the ball did not go in.
