Funeral held in Ghana for Christian Atsu
A funeral ceremony was held in Accra, the capital of Ghana, for Christian Atsu, the Ghanaian football player of Hatayspor, who lost her life in the earthquake in Kahramanmaraş, Turkey.
A state funeral was held in Accra, the capital of Ghana, for Christian Atsu, a football player from Hatayspor, who lost his life under the rubble of the residence destroyed in the Antakya district of Hatay in the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş and was sent to his country Ghana on February 19. Ghana’s President Nana Akufo-Addo, Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, former President John Dramani Mahama, as well as Atsu’s relatives, teammates and many people attended the ceremony, which took place in the presidential courtyard in Accra under wide security measures.
Atsu’s body will be buried in the Dogobome region of his hometown of Greater Accra province.
