‘Friends’ Chandler Saves Matthew Perry From Death!
Playing the character of Chandler Bing in ‘Friends’, one of the legendary TV series of a period, Matthew Perry talked about the difficult days he had due to harmful substance and alcohol addiction.
Matthew Perry (53), who gave life to the character of ‘Chandler’ for 10 years in the legendary ‘Friends’ TV series, told that he came back from the dead.
He revealed that he was hospitalized for an overdose at the age of 49 due to alcohol and substance abuse.
APPLIED TO REHABILITATION CENTER 15 TIMES
Perry, who applied to the rehabilitation center 15 times in his life, said, “The doctors said I had a 2 percent chance of surviving. I was in a coma for two weeks. I was treated in the hospital for 5 months. I was connected to a breathing machine.”
“My co-stars always supported me during and after we shot the drama. We were like penguins.”
“Whoever among us wasn’t feeling well, we would gather around him until he rose up,” he said. Perry’s book about his life will be out on November 1st.
The series team came together for a special episode last year, after 17 years.
