Fortnite Announces Bad News

Fortnite Won’t Run on Windows 7 and 8 Computers….

Fortnite’s new cyberpunk-themed “Mega” season has begun, but if you’re using a computer, you’ll need to be on Windows 10 or higher to continue playing the popular game.

Epic Games recommends GeForce Now

The developers of the game have released an announcement that will not please everyone. At least for those who take the view that older versions of Windows work better than newer ones. According to the announcement, Fortnite will no longer work on computers with Windows 7 or Windows 8. The minimum supported OS version is now Windows 10.The developers mentioned this back in December, so the withdrawal of support for older operating systems is not a surprise to those who follow the company’s announcements closely. For those who cannot install the latest version of Windows, Epic Games recommends using the cloud-based GeForce Now service.
