Forest fire in Maltepe, Istanbul
A fire broke out in a forest area in Maltepe. The fire, which also threatened residential areas, was extinguished with the air and ground intervention of the teams.
A forest fire broke out in the forest area in Zümrütevler neighborhood of Istanbul’s Maltepe district for an unidentified reason.
Upon notification of the situation, many fire brigade and police teams were dispatched to the area.
The fire extinguishing efforts, which were also intervened with the help of a helicopter from the air, were also supported by the surrounding citizens.
Residential areas near the area where the fire broke out were threatened by the flames for a while.
The fire was intervened by 11 land vehicles, 2 first response vehicles, 2 dozers, 1 helicopter and 70 personnel.
The fire was extinguished with the intervention of the teams.
