Fire in Nigeria: Hundreds of buildings burned
Hundreds of shops and businesses became unusable in the fire that broke out in the largest market place in Nigeria’s Borno state.
According to national media reports, hundreds of shops and businesses were burned in the fire that broke out at night in the largest market place in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state.
The police announced that the cause of the fire, which broke out in the market place that was established about 35 years ago, is not known yet and that large-scale property damage has occurred.

Firefighters got the fire under control.
Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum stated that the government will provide financial support to those whose workplaces have been damaged.
