Erdogan and Zelensky Meet
Speaking on the phone with Zelensky for the accident in which the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine lost his life, President Erdoğan expressed his condolences. The President reiterated his readiness to act as a mediator for the war to end in lasting peace.
While the war between Russia and Ukraine has been going on for about a year, the helicopter crash in Kiev, the capital, had repercussions.
In the accident, 18 people lost their lives in the helicopter, including the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastirkiy and his assistant.
Condolences from President Erdogan
After the incident, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke on the phone with President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.
President Erdogan expressed his condolences to Zelensky for the accident.
A Call for Lasting Peace And Contribution
On the other hand, President Erdogan reiterated that they are ready to make a strong diplomatic contribution to the establishment of a lasting peace between Russia and Ukraine, and to take on the role of facilitator and mediator in this process.
