Election Results in Turkey YSK President Yener: Data entry in progress
Ahmet Yener, President of the Supreme Election Board, said, "Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has 49.40 percent of the votes and Mr. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu has 44.96 percent. Data entry is ongoing," he said.
Ahmet Yener, Chairman of the Supreme Board of Elections (YSK), made a statement in front of the YSK regarding the results of the ballot boxes opened and the vote rates in the Presidential and 28th Term Parliamentary General Elections.
Highlights from Yener’s statements:
I would like to share with you the election results as of 9.45 a.m. There is 99 percent opening in the country. 27 ballot boxes were not opened in Turkey. There are 9,594 ballot boxes abroad and 1529 ballot boxes have not been opened. The rate of the number of opened ballot boxes abroad is 84.06 percent.
According to these data, as of 9:45 am, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has 49.40 percent of the votes; Mr. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu has 44.96 percent; Mr. Sinan Oğan has 5.2 percent; and Mr. Muharrem İnce has 0.44 percent. It is respectfully announced to the public. Data entry is ongoing.
