Delta Force, the tactical military shooter series popular at the end of the 90s, is revived on modern platforms.
TiMi Studio Group released a short gameplay trailer showing the new game in the Delta Force series on August 18. The full game is scheduled to be shown during the Live Opening Night event at Gamescom 2023 on August 22.
The teaser contains small gameplay snippets from the pre-alpha version of the game. Various weapons are shown in the video, including automatic rifles, silenced pistols, bows and rocket launchers. The developers of the revamped Delta Force state that they used photogrammetry to create the environment, recording the movements of military experts and consulting with former special forces fighters. Real-life actors were also used to create the characters.
The first version was released in 1998.
The game’s story scenario is based on Ridley Scott’s Black Hawk movie starring Josh Hartnett and Ewan McGregor. The game will also offer a large-scale PvP mode with more than 32 players on a single map. Delta Force will be available on a variety of platforms, including PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation, Xbox, and mobile devices.
The new game is being developed by TiMi Studio Group, which is known for mobile games such as Call of Duty: Mobile, Arena of Valor and Honor of Kings. NovaLogic Studios’ original Delta Force shooter was released in 1998 and gained immense popularity among PC gamers.
