Former soccer player Dani Alves has been sentenced to 4 years and 6 months in prison for sexual assault in a nightclub in Spain. The highest court in Barcelona also ordered him to pay a fine of 150,000 euros to the woman victim.
Former Barcelona star Dani Alves has been sentenced to 4 years and 6 months in prison after being found guilty of sexual assault.
Spain’s highest court found the Brazilian footballer guilty of sexually assaulting a woman in a Barcelona nightclub in 2022.
The court also ordered the victim to pay a fine of 150 thousand euros.
What Happened?
The 40-year-old former right-back was arrested in January 2023 on suspicion of sexually assaulting a woman without her consent.
Alves’ model wife Joana Sanz also announced her separation from the Brazilian soccer player following the sexual assault allegations.
