“Sibergöz-42” operations were carried out in 21 provinces, including Ankara, and 127 suspects who committed numerous crimes, including in international countries, were caught.
Suspects were detained on charges of “Qualified Fraud, Establishing an Organization for the Purpose of Committing a Crime and Laundering of Assets Obtained from Crime” in the “Cybergöz-42” operations covering 21 provinces, with Ankara as the center, conducted by Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya in coordination with the Department of Combating Cyber Crimes of the General Directorate of Security.
Why did the “Cyberglass-42” operation take place?
According to the allegations, the suspects were encouraging citizens to invest in a crypto asset trading platform called “Smart Trade Coin” with the promise of “High Profit with Zero Risk” and creating a “Ponzi scheme” system by offering each user the promise of profit if they brought new users.
Within the scope of the operations carried out in 21 provinces, 177 immovable properties, 61 movable assets, 1 unlicensed pistol, 1 dry firearm and many digital materials totaling more than 1 billion TL were seized.
