Instagram is bringing new features to its users to help them create content faster and easier. With new Reels templates, Instagram plans to further enhance the overall content creation experience on the app.
How to Use Instagram’s New Reels Template Tool
The latest Instagram update introduces a new and improved template tool where users can find templates organized by category, recommended, trending and saved templates or audio. Before you start creating reels, you can follow this path to access the new template tool:
- Press create from home page
- Tap on “Reels”
- Tap the picture in the lower left corner of the screen to open your camera gallery
- Tap on “Templates”
Alternatively, you can access the new template tool from Reels by tapping the camera icon and selecting “Templates”. Once you find a template you like, you can start creating your own by tapping “Use Template” in Reels.
The new suite of tools also offers the ability to see what templates others are using. So before you create your own Reels, you will be able to regularly review the templates of the people who do this work.
New Customization Options Coming to Reels Templates
In addition to all these improvements, Instagram announced that the latest update will also improve the creation and editing experience for templates. For starters, when you create a Reels from the template, the sound, the number of clips, the duration of the clips, and the effects will be automatically added to your Reels.
Following this update, new features will also be added to the app in the coming weeks that will make it possible to automatically add text and transitions used in the original Reels. All templates will be customizable so Instagram users can add and remove clips, schedule individual clips, and edit any pre-loaded item.
