23-year-old Caryn Marjorie is a very active Snapchat social media phenomenon. So much so that she has 1.8 million followers and has more than 1000 virtual boyfriends with whom she chats privately for 10 minutes to a few hours every day and makes future plans.

These boyfriends are actually talking to fake Marjorie, the artificial intelligence product that has been recorded for thousands of hours and is based on the real Marjorie. This person was created by CarynAI, a voice-based chatbot. So much so that she presents herself as a virtual girlfriend. She also has enough realistic voice and personality to entice users she talks to to pay $1 per minute for each chat.
CarynAI is the latest example of the incredible advances in AI technology that have stunned and alarmed the world over the past few months. A private beta test for CarynAI was conducted in the Telegram app in early May. After exiting beta, Marjorie will advertise this AI-powered chatbot on her social media accounts. In addition, the amount Marjorie has earned so far is 71,610 dollars (1,418,559.06 TL).
