Countries Where Turkey Has Sold SİHAs So Far
Proving its air superiority and operational capability in a wide geography, TB2s have been exported to dozens of countries so far. Some countries also lined up for the procurement process.
Bayraktar TB2 armed unmanned aerial vehicles (SİHA) are produced in Turkey with domestic and national resources.
The TB2s turned the tide of combat with pinpoint operations in countries where they participated in operations.
TB2 Becomes an International Brand
Unmanned vehicles, which are frequently brought to the agenda by worldwide media organizations with their success, managed to become an international brand that Turkey is proud of in a short time.
Final Agreement With Kuwait
Kuwait was the last country to buy the said SİHAs, which were exported to dozens of countries. An agreement of 370 million dollars was signed between Baykar and the Kuwait Ministry of Defense.
This agreement brought up how many countries have been sold to TB2, which is preferred in a wide geography from Europe to Asia.
Exported to 28 Countries
Bayraktar TB2s were delivered to a total of 28 countries. While 25 of these countries have been announced, 3 have not yet been announced. In addition to Japan, which has decided to try SİHAs, 4 countries want to procure unmanned aerial vehicles.
Accordingly, the countries where exports are made and whose names are announced are listed as follows:
“Kuwait, Azerbaijan, Qatar, Ukraine, Turkmenistan, Morocco, Kyrgyzstan, Poland, Pakistan, Ethiopia, Kazakhstan, Tunisia, Iraq, Libya, Niger, Tajikistan, Algeria, Somalia, Djibouti, Lithuania, Mali, United Arab Emirates, Bangladesh, Togo , Burkina Faso.”
Ranking Countries
Hungary, Serbia, Angola and Albania are on the list of countries that want to buy Bayraktar TB2 SİHA.
Baykar’s General Manager, Haluk Bayraktar, said in a recent statement on export success:
Bayraktar: Baykar’s Presence Creates a Competitive Environment
“This is actually a big gain in foreign policy. At the moment, the presidents of the countries are making a statement saying, ‘We are in line to buy Bayraktar TB2.’ We did not receive a penny of R&D support. “We have funded our projects that we have earned. 99.3 percent of the contracts signed by Baykar in 2022 are from exports. Baykar’s presence already creates a competitive environment.”
