After the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes on February 6, millions of citizens faced the problem of housing. While organizations such as AFAD, Red Crescent and Friends Association provided tents in the region, container aid came from all over the world to provide better shelter for earthquake victims.
Making one of the biggest container aids, Qatar made a new delivery from Iskenderun Port today.
552 Container Hayat to be Delivered to Earthquake Victims
The living containers produced by Qatar for the 2022 World Cup began to be transported to the disaster area at great speed after the earthquake. Facilities such as bathrooms, toilets, refrigerators and heating systems were delivered to AFAD with 522 containers of 18 square meters.
Qatar had previously provided great aid to the earthquake area with aid planes and container-carrying ships.
