Clefts Formed on the Road Passing the Fault Line in Antakya
On the Antakya-Cilvegözü highway, where the fault line passes in Hatay, deep crevices stretching for meters were formed.
The rifts formed in Demirkopru on the Antakya-Cilvegozu highway after the earthquakes in Kahramanmaras-centered and affecting 10 provinces, which are described as the “disaster of the century”, reveal the extent of the disaster.
Due to the 800-meter-long damage, traffic in the region is provided from two lanes.
The Field Was Split
In addition to the crevices with a depth of about 2 meters, which are human-sized, cracks in a field in the region were also imaged with a drone.
