Microsoft, which is in the process of acquiring Activision, continues to make comments for the Call of Duty brand. The company explained how it can bring Activision’s popular production Warzone to SwitchNint.
Microsoft, which is in the process of acquiring Activision-Blizzard, continues to make statements for the brands of the company that it will soon own. Call of Duty, one of the most popular names in the game world, has also become the focus of Microsoft. The company, which signed Call of Duty agreements with Nintendo and Nvidia, explained how it can bring Warzone to Nintendo’s mobile console, Switch.
How Will Call of Duty Warzone Work on Nintendo Switch?
Microsoft, which submitted documents to the UK Competition and Markets Authority to approve the Activision agreement, stated in one of these documents how Call of Duty productions can run on Nintendo Switch. As you know, Microsoft signed an agreement to bring Call of Duty productions to Nintendo consoles if it bought Activision, and it seems that the company has started working to realize this agreement.
In the documents presented, Microsoft stated that the game engine running Warzone is optimized even for Xbox One and 2015 model graphics cards, and the Nintendo Switch, which was released in 2017, can also support this engine. It was also stated that Warzone Mobile, which is expected to be released soon, can even run on mobile devices with lower performance than Switch. Apart from that, Microsoft stated that it trusts Activision’s ability to optimize for different hardware and that the methods applied in bringing games such as Apex Legends, Doom Eternal, Fortnite and Crysis 3 to Switch can also be applied to productions such as Warzone and Modern Warfare 2.
In addition to all these, the claims state that Nintendo will introduce the next generation console in the next year. The next generation Nintendo console, which will have huge performance increases compared to the current generation Switch, will probably run Call of Duty productions easily.
