Bomb Alert Suspends Education

In Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, bomb threats were sent to many schools via e-mail. After the bomb threats, the police started a search by taking security measures in and around the schools where the report was made. School buildings were evacuated while education was suspended in the city. The Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton issued a statement on the subject, stating that the police, with the help of other institutions, took all necessary measures to protect students and educators. In the statement, it was noted that the police teams searched the school buildings under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office.
In Sarajevo, false bomb threats were made to many institutions, including the courts, and the services of the institutions were interrupted due to the reports. Recently, many institutions in the countries of the region, Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Croatia, have been the target of fake bomb threats.
