Bingol’s Floating Island

The islets floating on Turna Lake in Hazarsah Village of Solhan district of Bingol have an extraordinary natural phenomenon. The area discovered by burning the tall and dense grass around the lake was called the “Floating Island“. Turna Lake, defined as a 38-hectare crater lake, is located on a flat land surrounded by mountains on three sides.
