Supermodel Bella Hadid called for help for Turkey and Syria, where the 7.7 and 7.6 earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş caused great destruction.
World-famous model Bella Hadid called for help for both Turkey and Syria after the Kahramanmaraş earthquake.
The 26-year-old Palestinian-American model published an informational text with a map of Turkey from her Instagram account.
Hadid said, “The 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck southern Turkey and Syria on February 6 was recorded as one of the strongest earthquakes to hit the region in decades. It continues to shake a region that is already fragile due to political instability and the refugee crisis. Strong aftershocks and destruction followed,” he wrote.
“After the earthquake, in which more than 30,000 people died and thousands were injured, these numbers are expected to increase significantly in the coming days and weeks as damage assessment continues. The freezing cold makes search and rescue efforts in the region difficult.” Hadid. “The humanitarian situation is in northwest Syria, where at least 4.1 million of the 4.5 million people living in the region prior to this disaster were already in need of humanitarian assistance. Turkey and Syria were devastated by the earthquake.” Wrote
Hadid concluded her message with these words:
“I’m so sorry for these incredible countries and people. I think I can do more in the near future. But for now I’ll leave you with trusted organizations. I love you.”
The famous model listed the organizations she wants her followers to help with as UNICEF, the White Helmets in Syria, the Syrian-American Medical Association, the International Medical Association and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
Turkish followers flocked to Hadid’s call for help for earthquake victims.

Calling for donations to the AHBAP Association, Hadid said, “My whole body is cold. I’m sorry and I pray for you. The terrible news shook me to the bone. I’m looking for ways to help.”
