Artificial Intelligence Powered Chat Bots on Instagram Soon: First Tests Begin!

Meta has confirmed that AI chatbots are coming to Instagram in a test run in the US. These chatbots, which can be developed by creators through Meta AI Studio, will be integrated into the Instagram messaging feature.
With this approach, Meta will make personalized chat bots available on Instagram, just like WhatsApp. With this new feature, Meta will mainly aim to communicate with users in a fun and interactive way, while providing personalized responses and suggestions.
Instagram starts testing with a limited number of creators
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg predicts that these AI chatbots will evolve over time to become an important tool. For transparency, these chatbots will also be clearly labeled as AI on Instagram.
The first test phase will involve around 50 creators and a small group of users. Meta’s ultimate goal is to roll out the feature publicly after this testing phase by August this year.
Meta’s move is indicative of the growing trend towards the integration of artificial intelligence into social media platforms. Expect more AI-based experiences for users in the future.
