Apple Cancels Electric Car Efforts
US technology giant Apple will reportedly end its efforts to produce electric cars and many employees in this unit will focus on productive artificial intelligence projects.
Bloomberg reported that the announcement made by two executives within the company surprised about 2 thousand employees working on the electric car project.
The executives told the employees that the project will begin to end and many employees in the team will be shifted to the artificial intelligence department, and that the staff in question will focus on productive artificial intelligence projects, which have become an increasingly important priority for Apple.
In the news, it was stated that Apple’s electric car team has hundreds of hardware engineers and car designers and that it is possible for these employees to apply for jobs in other Apple teams.
It was noted in the news that there will also be layoffs, but the scope of the layoffs was not clear.
