The historical Antakya Greek Orthodox Church was destroyed in the earthquake that occurred in Hatay.

Historical buildings were also damaged in the 7.4 magnitude earthquake that occurred in the Pazarcık district of Kahramanmaraş in the morning. The historical Antakya Greek Orthodox Church in Hatay also collapsed in the earthquake.

The historical building was damaged in Gaziantep, which was affected by the 7.7 magnitude earthquake, the epicenter of which was the Pazarcık district of Kahramanmaraş.

HISTORICAL BUILDING DESTROYED

The Greek Orthodox Church of Antakya, which has a historical character, has become almost unusable. The façade of the historic church appears to have been completely destroyed. While the front of the building was severely damaged, it was seen that the building needed a heavy renovation.

There was also great damage to the airport runway in Hatay. It was seen that the runway of Hatay Airport was split wide and the asphalt was removed.
