Another New Feature for Instagram: Video Notes!
Meta is adding a new one among the numerous features it has brought to Instagram recently. Here are the known details about the new video notes feature!
Once primarily a photo and video sharing platform, Instagram has evolved into a comprehensive social media hub with a distinct identity.
With this transformation, the platform not only caters to content creators and standard users, but also offers messaging features, voice and video calling options, and the ability to send voice notes.
Now, in an interesting development, Meta-owned Instagram is preparing to introduce a new feature that will allow users to send video notes.
Video Notes Feature Coming to Instagram After WhatsApp
This move may sound familiar, as WhatsApp, another platform owned by Meta, recently launched a similar feature.
While it makes sense to send video notes to share fun cat videos with friends or family, it seems more of a niche feature than a mainstream method of communication.
It’s worth noting that Instagram’s video notes app will be different from WhatsApp’s. These video notes will not be directed to specific people. Instead, they will be similar to the notes you can already leave on your profile. Previously, you could only leave voice or text-based notes, but now the platform will allow you to leave video notes. These video notes will remain visible on your profile for 24 hours, similar to their text and voice counterparts.
