Abdulhamid Han Drilling Ship In Mersin

Abdülhamid Han, Turkey's 4th drillship participating in hydrocarbon exploration, anchored off the coast of Mersin's Taşucu Port before its new mission.

Determined to reduce external dependence on energy, Turkey continues its drilling activities in various regions of the country.

Abdulhamid Han, which was sent off to its first duty station with the ceremony held on August 9, 2022 with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, completed its missions.

Anchored off Taşucu Harbor

Abdülhamid Han ship anchored off the coast of Taşucu Port, where it returned for maintenance and replenishment operations.

Preparations are being made before the new voyage on the 238-meter-long and 42-meter-wide ship with seventh generation technology, which Turkey added to its energy fleet in order to carry out natural gas exploration activities in the seas.

Will move to new duty station

After the completion of the procedures, the ship will move to its new duty station.

Abdülhamid Han stands out as the most powerful of the fleet participating in hydrocarbon exploration activities in the Blue Homeland with its technical equipment and physical features.
