50 Cent’s Accounts Hacked, Scammers Earned Millions of Dollars!
50 Cent’s accounts were hacked, scammers earned millions of dollars by promoting fake GUNIT token. Here are the details!
Famous rapper 50 Cent was the target of a memecoin scam after his social media accounts were hacked. The hacking was linked to the promotion of a fake cryptocurrency called GUNIT, which resulted in fraudsters making millions of dollars.
50 Cent and Social Media Scams
The incident was reported as a pump-and-dump crypto scam affecting 50 Cent’s millions of social media followers. Initially, the rapper posted on Instagram that “the person who did this made $300,000,000 in 30 minutes”, but this post was later corrected to $3,000,000.
Scammers used 50 Cent’s X account and the website Thisis50 to promote the GUNIT token. “Twitter and Thisis50.com were hacked, I have nothing to do with this crypto,” 50 Cent wrote in an Instagram post. He added that Twitter quickly intervened and restored his account.
50 Cent’s X account and Thisis50.com are still unavailable. This incident once again demonstrates the need to be wary of celebrity cryptocurrency promotions. Users should be more vigilant against such scams on social media platforms and seek information from reliable sources.
