A total of 180 prisoners were exchanged between Russia and Ukraine, mediated by the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
As the war between Russia and Ukraine continues, a new prisoner swap between the two countries has taken place under the mediation of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

In a statement made by the Russian Foreign Ministry, it was announced that 90 Russian soldiers captured by the Ukrainian side were taken back and said, “As a result of the negotiations that took place, 90 Russian military personnel with life-threatening injuries were repatriated from the territory controlled by the Kiev regime. In return, 90 Ukrainian prisoners of war were handed over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”
The statement said that after the transfer of the repatriated Russian servicemen, treatment and rehabilitation processes have begun.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy said in a statement, “Today, 90 more of our people in Russian captivity returned home,” and thanked the UAE for its mediation.
