In February, 11,761 people participated in hot air balloon tours in Cappadocia, a tourism center that stands out with its natural, historical and cultural values.
In Cappadocia, which is on the UNESCO World Natural and Cultural Heritage List, balloon tours that allow tourists to watch the valleys covered with fairy chimneys and natural rock formations from the sky continue to attract the attention of local and foreign tourists. Nevşehir Governor’s Office shared statistics on balloon tours in February.
Hot air balloons were only able to fly for 8 days last month due to adverse weather conditions. 11,761 tourists had the opportunity to watch the scenery of the region from a bird’s eye view with balloons rising to the sky at sunrise from the valleys of Göreme district and Çavuşin village.
Last month, 99 thousand 389 tourists visited the museums and ruins in the Cappadocia region.
