Çanakkale Victory was the epic of a nation that wanted to protect its independence and future. First, the Turkish soldier emerged victorious from the dark waters and did not let the enemy navies, which were called invincible, pass. When the enemy attacked from land, Mustafa Kemal appeared on the stage of history.
The ceremony started with Ahmet Misbah Demircan, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism on behalf of the Republic of Turkey, laying a wreath with a moon and star motif at the monument in the Abide area.
After a moment of silence and the firing of a salute by the ceremonial guard, the program continued with the raising of the Turkish flag accompanied by the National Anthem.
In his speech at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Demircan said that on the 108th anniversary of this historic day when the Çanakkale Land Battles began, he commemorated with gratitude all the martyrs and veterans who led the Turkish nation to the glorious victory.
