YouTube Continues to Fight TikTok: Remixing Feature Arrives on Shorts!

YouTube continues to increase its competition with TikTok at full speed. It announced the new remixing feature coming to Shorts. Here are the details!

YouTube continues to heat up its competition with TikTok. Last week, we shared that YouTube Shorts will have a live streaming feature like TikTok.

Now, another new feature has been copied from the platform where thousands of music has been removed due to the failure to renew its license with Universal Music. YouTube users will now be able to remix music clips from Shorts videos.

YouTube and TikTok Battle Continues

YouTube, which has been working to increase its dominance in short videos and to ensure that users spend more time on the platform, is escalating its war with TikTok with a new feature. In YouTube Shorts, users will now be able to remix videos as well as add music videos.

The timing of this feature was interpreted as quite meaningful. TikTok’s ability to remix music, which was removed at the beginning of the month because Universal Music did not renew its license, has also significantly affected its usage.

YouTubeda made a statement on this issue, referring to TikTok’s situation. The statement also said that users can incorporate the works of some of the world’s most famous singers, such as Beyonce and Maggie Rogers, into their Short videos.

The new feature will provide an extremely simple user experience. With just a few moves, users will be able to include a part of the clip in their Shorts videos. The feature will also allow users to create short videos, use the music video as a background and use only the audio.

The feature, which is currently available to a limited number of users, will soon be available to all users. With this feature, YouTube will be one step ahead of TikTok.
