World’s first ‘legal artificial intelligence’ developed

While the integration of artificial intelligence into legal systems continues, a ‘legal artificial intelligence programme’ that can answer questions in 39 languages was developed under the consultancy of Karabük lawyer Adnan Dayan.

Under the consultancy of lawyer Adnan Dayan, a legal artificial intelligence programme was developed that learns the legal data of four countries and can answer questions in 39 different languages. According to the statement made, the artificial intelligence programme named ‘Full&Egal’ is the first artificial intelligence of this kind in Turkey and the world.

Legal support in 39 languages

Adnan Dayan, a lawyer from Karabük, developed this artificial intelligence programme by processing legal data from Turkey, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Germany and Switzerland. At the same time, this artificial intelligence, which supports 39 languages such as German, French, English, Arabic, Chinese and Korean, can make in-depth analyses in the field of law and respond to 1000 technical questions with a 98.2 percent success rate.

Stating that the programme is in the general artificial intelligence class, Dayan said, ‘The professional artificial intelligence we have made is also in the general artificial intelligence class. Currently, it can perform all operations in terms of profession. It is an assistant-assistant that can be easily used by people on a sectoral basis, as it has a command of all areas and can perform the process very quickly.’

Stating that Full&Egal was developed as a legal artificial intelligence by a comprehensive team, Dayan said, ‘It is now on the air and is available to the end user. It is a programme accessible to everyone. This is professional artificial intelligence. A lawyer artificial intelligence. It is the first time in Turkey and the first time in the world that professional artificial intelligence has been made. Therefore, we can call it the world’s first legal artificial intelligence.’

It will speed up processes

It is stated that the programme launched under the name Full&Egal is trained with specific legal data and thus the error rate is reduced. Emphasising that the programme is equivalent to artificial intelligence produced on a global scale in all skill branches such as analysis, analytics and transfer, Dayan said, ‘It has no shortcomings. The language management and modelling belongs to us. All codes belong to Turkey. In other words, it belongs to our company. Therefore, we are not dependent on the outside in any way. Therefore, this is a global-scale programme in the general artificial intelligence class.’

Full&Egal draws attention with its ability to accelerate the decision-making processes of lawyers, while providing optional opinions based on different doctrines. Ahmet Uğur, the sales manager of the project, said that the programme is currently available in Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and that their targets are now Germany and Switzerland. Afterwards, sales to all European countries are planned. According to Full&Egal’s official website, the programme is available for sale with a monthly subscription of 350 TL.

Artificial intelligence has been increasingly integrated into the legal field, especially in recent years. Analyses show that artificial intelligence can replace legal professionals. Because law is a very suitable field for automation. Although there are already some ethical debates on this issue, perhaps leaving the balance of the scales to artificial intelligence can benefit countries that have difficulty in ensuring justice.
