New information continues to come from Vivo’s upcoming smartphones.
Vivo is reportedly working on S17 series smartphones for the Chinese market. Reports indicate that the S17 series will compete with Honor 90 series and Oppo Reno 10 series smartphones in the domestic market. All three series are expected to go on sale at China’s 618 shopping festival in June.
Vivo’s new phones are taking shape
Previous reports had revealed that the Vivo S17 series will feature three models such as Vivo S17e (V2285A), Vivo S17 (V2283A) and Vivo S17 Pro (V2284A). Currently, there is no information about the chipset powering the S17e model. On the other hand, it is stated that Vivo S17 will have Snapdragon SM7325, which is thought to be Snapdragon 778G or Snapdragon 782G chipset. Vivo S17 Pro, on the other hand, will have the Dimensity 8200 chipset. To recall, Vivo S16 and S16 Pro were equipped with Snapdragon 870 and Dimensity 8200 chipsets, respectively.
In addition, it is reported that the Vivo S17 and S17 Pro will have an OLED display provided by BOE, which offers 1.5K resolution. There is no information about the screen sizes, but the screens are expected to have curved edges. The rear camera setup of the Vivo S17 and S17 Pro will be based on the 50-megapixel Sony IMX766V sensor, which is said to support optical image stabilization (OIS). In addition, there will be a 12-megapixel IMX663 telephoto camera. There is no information about the other cameras that will be on the back panel of the Vivo S17 series. Finally, the leak reveals that the Vivo S17 series will support 80W fast charging. More detailed information about the two phones will emerge in the future.
