TikTok Warning From Czechia: Communication Systems Can Be Tapped
Czechia’s National Cyber and Information Security Agency has warned that critical communication or infrastructure systems can be eavesdropped on devices such as mobile phones, with China’s worldwide social media platform TikTok application.
Czechia National Cyber and Information Security Authority (NUKIB) made a statement regarding the possible dangers of TikTok application.
In the statement, it was warned that critical infrastructure systems and communication elements can be listened on the devices where the application is used.
In the statement, which pointed out that the application in question is used by large masses, users were asked to take this situation into consideration.
MINISTRY OF INTERIOR EMPLOYEES WILL NOT USE THE APP
On the other hand, Czech Interior Minister Vit Rakusan also stated to the press that employees within the ministry cannot use the application on mobile phones or similar devices.
Security concerns about TikTok have been on the agenda in different countries before, and employees in public institutions in the USA, European Union institutions and Canada were prohibited from using this application.
