Türkiye’s Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that three criminals who were internationally wanted with Interpol Red Notices have been successfully extradited to Türkiye.
In his statement shared on his NSosyal account, Yerlikaya confirmed that suspects identified as R.R., T.B., and Y.E.A. were captured in Germany, Montenegro, and Kazakhstan and subsequently brought back to Türkiye.
Yerlikaya also emphasized that a total of 500 fugitives wanted with Red Notices and diffusion alerts have been extradited to Türkiye during the current cabinet term.
The minister continued:
“As a result of coordinated efforts by the EGM Interpol–Europol Department, officials from the Ministry of Justice, our Intelligence and Narcotics Crime Departments, and the Public Security Department, and through operational cooperation with law enforcement units in the respective countries:
• R.R., wanted for ‘drug trafficking’, was captured in Germany;
• T.B., wanted for ‘aggravated robbery committed by multiple individuals’, was captured in Montenegro;
• Y.E.A., wanted for ‘attempted murder’, was captured in Kazakhstan.
All three fugitives were apprehended and extradited to our country.”
Congratulating the teams involved, Yerlikaya added:
“No matter where they are or under which notice they are sought, we will capture criminals one by one and bring them back to our country. We are determined to work tirelessly for the peace and security of our nation.”
