The Business of Converting Gasoline Vehicles to Electric is Growing Fast
Interest in electric vehicles has reached an all-time high. In fact, the interest is so strong that a new industry is growing rapidly.
Interest in electric vehicles is at an all-time high, and according to the latest data, electric car sales have increased by 55 percent in 2022 compared to the previous year. But there are still a lot of gasoline, or rather internal combustion, vehicles on the roads today, and probably will be for a long time to come.
Internal Combustion Cars Are Converted To Electric
On the other hand, an emerging industry is turning internal combustion vehicles into electric, giving them new life and power. Both the workshops and the after-sales community operating in this field are growing significantly to meet the new demand. Michael Bream, founder and CEO of EV West, said in a statement that there are many people who want to convert their old vehicles to electric. Bream’s store in California was one of the early pioneers of the electric vehicle transformation and has become so popular that it’s been in a four to five year lineup.
In addition to the conversion workshops, there is also a rapidly growing DIY community that has undertaken these projects on their own. Additionally, both Ford and GM offer components for electric vehicle conversions, and there are other companies entering this space. The Specialty Equipment Market Association, a trade organization representing automotive manufacturers and dealers, states that the number of electric vehicle-focused products on the market is growing exponentially.
