Tesla’s Electric Truck Semi Immediately After Its First Accident, It Was In Flames Because Of Its Battery!

Tesla Semi, the electric truck model of the Tesla brand, was involved in its first accident in the USA. The electric lorry caught fire due to its battery after the accident!

There has been an important development about Tesla Semi, the long-awaited electric truck model of Tesla, one of the world’s leading electric vehicle manufacturers. The electric vehicle was involved in its first accident in the USA the other day. After the accident on the motorway, the roads were closed for hours due to the truck whose batteries caught fire. Details are in the news.

New Tesla Semi Burned Immediately After Crashing Into Trees!

According to the incident that the US press scrutinised the other day, a trailerless Semi model moving on the motorway hit the trees. The vehicle that hit the trees is reported to have caught fire shortly afterwards. It is also reported that the roads remained closed for approximately 16 hours after the accident. Behind such a long intervention period lies the fact that the batteries in the Semi model cannot be extinguished after the fire.

Tesla's Electric Truck

According to information from the US state of California, firefighters tried to cool Semi’s lithium-ion battery and extinguish the fire using thousands of litres of water. The electric lorry was transported to Tesla’s factory in Nevada immediately after the batteries were brought to safe temperatures hours later. It is said that the lorry driver who was injured in the accident was hospitalised.

Although this is a first for the Semi model, we have witnessed many other Tesla models catch fire after the accident. The accident in question brings to mind the question of how healthy the batteries of electric vehicles are, similar to the burning of Tesla cars to be delivered in Istanbul in 2023.
