Tesla opens store in Istanbul
Tesla, which entered the Turkish market in the first months of last year, is only in the market with the Model Y car for now. In 2023, Model Y, the world’s best-selling car, had sold more than 10 thousand units in Turkey. Now Tesla is opening its first store in Istanbul on January 31 (today).
According to the statement made, Tesla’s Istanbul store will be located in Metropol AVM in Ateşehir. Although Tesla specifies this as a store, it would actually be more accurate to describe it as an experience center. Because citizens who make an appointment and go here will be able to test drive Tesla vehicles. Meanwhile, Tesla opened a store in Armada Shopping Center in Ankara on January 6.
Tesla’s adventure in Turkey started fast and was ahead of TOGG in terms of sales for a long time. However, with the changes in Turkey’s management and the company’s prioritization of the service side, sales slowed down and completed the year 2023 in second place behind TOGG. Tesla will start to focus on sales again in the coming months, but at that time, it will make improvements in both service and infrastructure.
