Telegram’s Innovations Reduce Battery Consumption: Here’s What’s New!
Telegram has released the update that brings a number of new features, including the power saving mode. The updated Telegram also brings performance improvements, especially for low-end Android devices.
Telegram iOS and Android device users have released another major update. Here’s what’s new with Telegram version 9.5:
Power Saving Mode
The newly added power saving mode limits Telegram’s battery consumption on your phone by disabling certain resource-intensive processes.
Background sync, GIFs, autoplay for videos, stickers, animations for emojis, interface effects, media preloads, etc. In addition, the feature can be set to activate automatically when the battery reaches a certain percentage, or it can be kept always on.
Read Time for Groups, Video Playback speed, Emoji Packs
With the new update, videos can be played at any speed between 0.2x – 2.5x. For groups of less than 100 people, read receipts now show the user when each person has read the message. New emoji packs have also been added for premium users.
