TEKNOFEST Mediterranean Technology Competitions started: More than 1 million competitors in the final!
TEKNOFEST 2024 has started at ANFAŞ International Fair and Congress Centre in Antalya and technology competitions are being held in 49 main categories and 127 sub-categories with 1.65 million applications. In addition to Turkey’s first astronaut Alper Gezeravcı, the festival also includes the presentation of Turkey’s large tongue model T3 AI and artificial intelligence-themed events.
Organised since 2018, TEKNOFEST, the aviation, technology and space technology festival, is holding the final of the Mediterranean Technology Competitions in Antalya. Organised in 25 areas, the final of the technology competitions started with the participation of Baykar Chairman Selçuk Bayraktar.
WHERE IS TEKNOFEST 2024 ANTALYA HELD?
A total of 1 million 650 thousand competitors applied to the TEKNOFEST Mediterranean Technology Competitions final, which was hosted by ANFAŞ International Fair and Congress Centre and hosted 49 main categories and 127 sub-categories. In the final, where 1270 teams and 6 thousand 514 finalists struggled to enter the ranking, there are many fields from artificial intelligence to communication, from biotechnology to agricultural technologies.
In the event, young people will compete with their projects for 4 days and participate in training and panel programmes organised by Turkey’s largest technology companies.
T3 AI, TURKEY’S LARGEST LANGUAGE MODEL, WILL BE INTRODUCED
TEKNOFEST Akdeniz will also host a very important development in terms of artificial intelligence sector in Turkey. Turkish big language model ‘T3 AI’ will be introduced here.
Technology Team Foundation of Turkey had announced the T3 AI project with the following statements: ‘The T3 AI Project has been implemented in line with the vision of playing a leading role in this global digital transformation, overcoming language barriers, ensuring the free flow of information and contributing to the peaceful coming together of societies with the cooperation of the Technology Team Foundation of Turkey and stakeholders.’
In TEKNOFEST Mediterranean, the final presentations of the T3 AI Hackathon Competition, artificial intelligence literacy and prompt writing training, and the TUAC 2024 Undergraduate Students Academic Conference on artificial intelligence will be held.
In addition to artificial intelligence, the festival will also host the ‘Entrepreneur Training Programme Idea Marathon’ to develop innovative solutions on climate change, and experts in fields such as nuclear energy, space and aviation, patent and design, and UAV/UAV piloting will meet with visitors.
TECHNOFEST ANTALYA WILL HOST ALPER GEZERAVCI
Turkey’s first astronaut Alper Gezeravcı will share his experiences with young people within the scope of the festival. TEKNOFEST Mediterranean Technology Competitions will end on 8 September.
