SCT Support for Rechargeable Hybrid Vehicles: But There Are Some Conditions!
The new decision published in today’s issue of the Official Gazette officially launched the SCT support for plug-in hybrid vehicles. However, such vehicles must meet certain criteria. For example, the carbon dioxide emissions of hybrid vehicles covered by the support must be below 25 grams and the electric motor must offer a range of 70 kilometers or more.
In addition, 30 percent SCT will be applied for vehicles with an engine cylinder volume not exceeding 1600 cm3 and a SCT base not exceeding 1,350,000 TL, and 60 percent for vehicles exceeding these values. Moreover, the SCT rate will be 70 percent for models that do not exceed 1800 cm3.
The new decision published in today’s issue of the Official Gazette aims to create a significant momentum in the Turkish automotive market. While investments in environmentally friendly technologies are expected to increase, the impact of the steps taken for a sustainable environment will gradually increase with the implementation of regulations that will provide economic advantages to consumers.According to the information shared by journalist Emre Özpeynirci, rechargeable hybrid vehicles that will receive SCT reduction will be as follows;
