The new car developed for the Chinese market, where Volkswagen appeals to a very large audience, was introduced in the Far East country with two different services, the Pioneer Edition and the Starry Sky Edition. With a length of 5,006 mm, a width of 1,850 mm, a height of 1,489 mm and a wheelbase of 2,871 mm, the Passat Pro is 89 mm longer than the Variant on sale in Europe.
The interior is equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and hosts three different digital panels, including a 10.3-inch instrument display, a 15-inch main multimedia display and an 11.6-inch passenger display. In addition, the vehicle is equipped with a large sound system with 16 speakers by Harman Kardon, providing passengers with a high level of comfort with 30 different colour adjustable ambient lighting, heated and cooled seats and advanced massage functions.
Built on the MQB platform, the sedan has a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged TSI engine producing 217 horsepower and 350 Nm torque on the performance side. The powerful engine is accompanied by a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox. In addition to all these, L2++ autonomous driving support is also available in the car. The price of the car, which is announced to be offered for sale only in China, is still a matter of curiosity.
