Private Highway Toll Payments are Now Within e-Government Services!

Abdulkadir Uraoğlu, Minister of Infrastructure and Transportation, announced a new feature to be added to the e-Government platform in his written statement about the projects carried out by the Presidential Digital Transformation Office. Uraloğlu said that tunnel, bridge and highway toll payments operated by private enterprises can now be made through e-Government.

For those who do not know, tolls can currently only be paid through the relevant company’s website or mobile application. With the new feature, vehicle owners will be able to complete all highway toll payments through the e-Government platform, avoiding the hassle of making payments on different websites and applications. The service is expected to be launched in the near future.

e-Government

Minister Uraloğlu used the following statements in his statement on the subject:

“Our citizens will now be able to make debt payments for tunnel, bridge and highway tolls securely through e-Government with a single click. Vehicle owners will be able to track their highway usage and pay toll debts that are not subject to legal proceedings and toll payments that are not subject to penalties. These improvements will make it easier for users to pay tolls without incurring penalties, and these transactions will only be possible for those who have vehicles with registered license plates. Our aim is to increase access to digital services and make these services more practical and secure by making the lives of our citizens easier.”
