ANKARA, Turkey – The anxious wait for university students seeking financial aid has concluded. The results for the 2025-2026 academic year scholarships and student loans, provided by the Credit and Dormitories General Directorate (KYGM) under the Ministry of Youth and Sports, have been officially announced via e-Devlet. Hundreds of thousands of students have begun checking the results using their T.R. identity numbers to secure funding for their education.

Following the opening of the inquiry screen, the steps and deadlines for students who qualified have been clarified.

Inquiry Platform: Kyk Scholarship Results can only be checked through the e-Devlet gateway under the Ministry of Youth and Sports services.
Next Steps for Recipients: Students who have qualified for a scholarship or loan must complete an undertaking approval process, also via e-Devlet, by a specified deadline. Failure to confirm the undertaking will result in the forfeiture of the right to aid.
Payment Start: The first payments for the scholarships and loans are typically expected to be deposited into students’ accounts in late December, after the undertaking approvals are fully processed. The first payment usually includes a lump sum for the months of October, November, and December.

❓ A REMINDER: SCHOLARSHIP VS. LOAN

Students must clarify which type of support they have been granted when checking the results:

Scholarship (Burs): This aid is non-refundable (geri ödemesiz). Priority is given to students with high academic achievement, those whose parents are deceased, children of martyrs and veterans, and students with disabilities over 40%.
Student Loan (Kredi): This is refundable (geri ödemeli). It is open to all other students who did not qualify for a scholarship. The student repays the loan in installments, adjusted for inflation, after a determined waiting period post-graduation.

🛑 WARNING: FALSE DECLARATION CLAUSE

KYGM maintains that students who made false declarations during the application process will have their scholarship or loan canceled, even if they completed the undertaking approval. The Directorate confirms all declared information against official governmental data as a final verification step.
