One of the first points that come to mind when Izmir is mentioned is Kordon, which has even been the subject of songs. The city residents and guests meet the sea, enjoy the wonderful sunset view, lie on the grass in summer and spring and enjoy the sun in Kordon. It is among the symbols of Izmir. In Kordon, where there were Levantine houses with bay windows and marble stairs and mastic mansions unique to Izmir, the architectural structures where you can find the traces of the past are still standing. The square, where the Gazi Statue, one of the works that has become the symbol of Izmir, is one of the most important and famous squares of the city. The Atatürk Museum in Kordon is also one of the must-visit places in this region. The museum building on 1 Kordon Atatürk Street in İzmir is one of the most beautiful examples of the 19th century Neoclassical form. This building, which Mustafa Kemal Atatürk used as the house where he stayed when he visited the city between 1930 and 1934, still welcomes visitors in all its glory today.

Kordon is located in the province of İzmir. You can easily reach the Izmir coastline by bus number 163 from Izmir bus station. If you want to reach the region by subway, you can get off at Alsancak stop and connect to the cord from there. Subway passes from Izmir airport.
